The Grocery Edit: November 2023
All the tasty groceries I’m loving right now that you should 100% stock up on.
It’s the first Friday of the month, and the first ever edition of The Grocery Edit! Welcome. 🛒💞
Along with access to the Bite Sized podcast episodes, The Grocery Edit is a special offering for paid subscribers of Forkful. Every first Friday of the month I’ll send you my top 10 favorite grocery finds from the month—whether they’re new products I recently taste tested, or products I stumbled upon during a recent grocery run.
As a food writer, I am fortunate enough to try all kinds of new grocery products with my job. Brands reach out to me constantly and ask me to test their newest innovations, and while some of them are misses, there are other products that are serious wins. But I don’t always get the chance to share about it!
Hence the inspiration behind The Grocery Edit. From snacks to prepared foods, drinks, and even some fresh produce magic, I’ll share all the latest groceries I think are worth adding to your cart—whether in stores or online, however you shop!

Archer Farms Rosemary Turkey Jerky
Sometimes you just need a little snacky snack, and I have been loving having these mini-sized Archer Farms Rosemary Jerky on me when my stomach is grumbling. Fits well in a purse (yes, I’m the weird lady with jerky in my purse!) and the flavor is really, really tasty.
Wegmans Spinach & Peppers Egg Bites
If you’re at all near a Wegmans, then get your hands on a few packages of these egg bites. They heat up really easily and the taste is somehow incredible? I was shocked. Such a great breakfast when you need some protein in the morning, or honestly? This works really well as a lunch with a side salad or fruit.
Shoprite Bowl & Basket Aldoo Matar Curry
Sometimes you’re just too busy to make lunch—even if lunch is a simple as toasting bread and spreading peanut butter. A quick microwave meal will do, and I recently became a big fan of this Aldoo Matar Curry. It simply heats up in the microwave for two minutes, and it’s ready to eat! Bonus if you have some naan bread on you for dipping.
Target Good & Gather Chopped Kale
Don’t let the little image fool youi—this bag is huge. Like, so big for just $3.50. If you’re looking to increase the greens in your meals and just stuff in your soups, casseroles, egg scrambles, and anything else of the like, have one of these massive bags on hand. After I open it, I stick a paper towel in there to keep the leaves crisp for longer—since it’s kind of a big bag to go through myself.
Brazi Bites Blueberry Gluten-Free Waffles
Yeah, yeah, it’s gluten-free—but I’m not recommending it because of that, okay? We all know that gluten is just a protein in wheat and eating gluten-free doesn’t instantly make you healthier. Right? Wink, wink.
Anyways, Brazi Bites just came out with a line of frozen waffles, and I actually really liked these blueberry ones. They kind of hit the spot after a long run, topped with sliced strawberries and the good maple syrup I got from Vermont.
Boisson Small Batch Mixer Blackberry & Sage
Want to make more mocktails but don’t want to endure any of the effort of having to actually make one? These small batch mixers from Boisson make it easy—just add some sparkling water, or a sparkling alcohol-free wine! I recently stocked up on the Blackberry & Sage and it might be a permanent mixture in my fridge.
Dave's Killer Bread English Muffins
I grew up on English muffins. Specifically English muffin sandwiches with Taylor ham because pork roll was a household staple thanks to my parent’s New Jersey roots. But the English muffins we used? So not great. Kind of stale and bland and just…meh. But these? Ooooo, baby! I don’t even bother trying to buy the other brand (you know what brand I’m talking about) because these are far superior.
Golden Berries
I don’t know why I’m obsessed with golden berries these days (actually the obsession has spanned a little over a year now) but any time I can get my hands on them when I do an order with Imperfect Foods, I add to cart. They have the texture of like…a grape and a cherry tomato (I know, don’t delete this email yet), but they taste like a tart mandarin orange. I don’t know how, but it’s just…magical. Try them.
King Arthur Chai Spice
I know so many girlies vibe with pumpkin-spice this time of year, but when it’s time to get cozy on the couch with a drink, I tend to go for all things chai-flavored. Like these Taylor Swift Chai Flavored Cookies, because hello! Anywho, I recently took a trip to King Arthur and browsed their wonderland of a store and left with a few goodies, including this little jar of chai spice. It’s my favorite thing to mix in to my homemade homemade latte. Side note…do you guys want that recipe? Shoot me a note and let me know!
YES bars
Another snack I love to have on hand—specifically when I travel or if I’m out on a hike. These bars are like the upgraded granola bar you’ve always wanted, without any chalky protein or fake-tasting sugar. Made with maple syrup and nuts and dark chocolate, this bar hits the spot when you want something sweet and filling.
